Meeting with Dan Simberloff

It is always good to get high profile ecologists down to Tasmania, and particularly exciting to get Dan Simberloff. I’m particularly interested in getting his views on where community ecology is going and to get his opinion on linking invasions to succession.
Yesterday we had Magaret Mayfield from the University of Queensland give an interesting talk on community assembly of novel communities (http://www.mayfieldplantecologylab.org/site/Dr_Mayfield.html) – so it is going to be a big community assembly sought of week!
